'Til The Cows Come Home
‘Til The Cows Come Home is an Australian not-for-profit, founded in 2018. We are a farm animal charity that rescues unwanted, unviable, “waste” farmed animals, rehabilitates them in short-term foster care and rehomes them into safe, forever-loving homes as companions.
Farm animals are often not seen as companions but instead as commodities. We hope to be the voices for these forgotten and inspire you to not only share their stories but also make ‘Til The Cows Come Home is an Australian not-for-profit, founded in 2018. Farm animals are often not seen as companions but instead as commodities. We hope to be the voices for these forgotten and inspire you to not only share their stories but also make more compassionate choices.
We are made up predominantly of volunteers and rely on the kindness of public donations to keep our mission alive.
Create a more compassionate world where farm animals are viewed as companions, not commodities.
We transform the lives of unwanted farm animals through rescuing, rehoming and promoting a kinder world. We give a voice to farm animals by telling their stories and inspiring change.
When we are alerted to an animal in need—whether they are considered “waste” are unwanted, in danger, or surrendered by someone no longer able to care for them—we act quickly. Every rescue is different, but our goal is always the same: to ensure safety, care, and hope for a better future.
Once rescued, animals are welcomed into the homes of our devoted foster carers. Here, they experience love, comfort, necessary veterinary treatment and rehabilitation until they are fully ready for adoption. In rehoming cases, animals remain in their current homes until the perfect adopter is found, minimising stress and ensuring a smooth transition.
We take great care in finding the right forever home for every animal. Our thorough adoption process ensures that each one will live as a valued companion—not a commodity—for the rest of their lives.
We rescue, but we also advocate. By raising awareness through education and outreach, we work to create lasting change for farm animals—not only improving lives today but shaping a kinder, more compassionate future for tomorrow.
Our Board of Directors provides guidance, oversight, and strategic direction, ensuring that ‘Til The Cows Come Home continues to grow and achieve its mission of rescuing and rehoming farmed animals.
Our Board of Directors is pleased to confirm that ‘Til The Cows Come Home remains fully compliant with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) requirements. We are proud members of the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA) and adhere to the FIA Fundraising Code of Conduct.
During the year, we also developed and implemented a comprehensive Policy and Procedure Manual, which includes a conflict-of-interest declaration policy, and we successfully completed our financial audit.
‘Til The Cows Come Home is driven by the dedication and passion of a committed team who work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome farmed animals across Australia.
Our leadership is guided by Rachele Clarke, CEO, and Jill Jones, CFO, whose vision and stewardship ensure that every rescue, every adoption, and every life saved is possible.
Behind them stands a devoted team whose hard work in adoptions, foster care, communications, fundraising, donor services, and animal coordination is the backbone of our mission. Their combined efforts make certain that thousands of animals each year are given the chance to experience safety, dignity, and love.
Our volunteers are truly at the heart of everything we do. Their compassion, commitment, and generosity make it possible for us to rescue, foster, and rehome farmed animals who would otherwise have no chance of a safe and loving future. With dedicated volunteers located across New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia, and Victoria, our network of foster homes, rescue drivers and hen adoption day volunteers, and support continues to grow. It is through their tireless efforts and unwavering belief in our mission that we are able to transform lives—both animal and human—every single day
Our board of directors, operational team and volunteers are supported by a kind and compassionate community.
Every message shared, dollar donated, and hour volunteered has rippled outwards to create real, measurable change. You are not just part of our community—you are at the heart of everything we do. As we reflect on the past year at ‘Til The Cows Come Home, we are filled with deep gratitude for the support of our incredible community. Every rescue, every healed and safe animal and every rehoming into a forever home was made possible because of you—our donors, volunteers, foster carers, adopters, and advocates.
Thanks to your compassion and generosity, we have been able to provide loving second chances to over 10,000 farmed animals across Australia. From safe transport to medical care to daily food and bedding, your contributions have transformed lives that once knew only hardship. Each life saved is a testament to the power of collective kindness.
This year, your support helped us:
Rehome 2,903 animals, saving them from slaughter, neglect and abuse
Provide essential veterinary care and rehabilitation for sick animals
Raise awareness around the treatment of farmed animals, giving a voice to those who are considered “only a number”
Grow our foster network and expand our capacity to rescue
Every message shared, dollar donated, and hour volunteered has rippled outwards to create real, measurable change. You are not just part of our community—you are at the heart of everything we do.
From all of us at ‘Til The Cows Come Home, and from the animals who now know safety and love because of you: thank you.
